Effective from January 13th, 2025, all first-time IRP/GNIB registrations must now be completed online. This change aims to streamline the registration process, making it more efficient and accessible for applicants.
Key Steps for First-Time Registrations:
- Create an Account: Visit the official Irish Immigration portal at https://portal.irishimmigration.ie/en/.
- Book an Appointment: Once registered, schedule your appointment at the Dublin office, which will be handling all first-time registrations. Please note that first-time registrations can only be processed at the Dublin location.
Renewals Made Easy:
For those renewing their IRP/GNIB, the process remains entirely online, eliminating the need for in-person visits.
